so sorry

November 3, 2004 by elenamary

I am exhausted. I’ve been working hard on this campagin with so little sleep and everything was stacked against us. Yesterday I worked a hotline here are some phone calls we got from different counties in Ohio:

+ Not sliding in the option of Kerry/Edwards into the voting machine.

+ Kerry/Edwards light not working.

+ Father & Son turned away at the polls “You were registered but our books say you both died March 15th you can’t vote”.

+ Signs outside of Presincts “You are not allowed to vote if you have unpaid parking tickets”.

+ Towing of cars with Kerry/Edward stickers while people voted.

+ Refusing to give anyone provesional ballots.

+ Man with reading disability not given more time in voting booth.
(you are only allowed 5 minutes unless you have a disability)

+ Confusing Ballot.

+ Refusing to allow people to vote without a drivers license.

+ Fire drill at a school during voting.

+ People pretending to be from the Board of Elections telling voters as they apporached the building that they were not allowed to vote.

+ People threatening Kerry/Edwards voters while in line.

+ The failure of multiple machines.

+ Democrats being called at home and told the wrong place to vote.

What will be done to fix it? I don’t know, ask George.

Isn’t is just so overwhelmingly depressing? With all the effort and organization, hate is still more powerful.
