Louisiana day 2

December 3, 2004 by elenamary

It has been crazy. I am at a McDonalds where they have free computers/Internet for 30 minute intervals. Anyway, Louisiana is something I wish I could talk about with much more aptience and time. People have been very friendly, I’ve been called “Sugar” more times in my lie then I have ever said or heard the wrod before. I am only hitting Democrat voting households remding them to go vote on Saturday in the run off election for Wille Mount. I am stationed in Lake Charles at the Inn on the Bayou…aren’t you jealous? I am sharing a room with my friend Curtis and two nice guys, Todd from Michicgan and Jesper from Denmark. Jesper has almost no audible accent and I think has watched way too many MTV movies but is very awesome. As our almost all the people on this trip. The food has been exciting and I will describe it at lenth later. As well as my new Louisiana team partner Marie an African-American woman mother of 8, who is pro-choice, politically active, requires all her children to volunteer on the campagin and for her kids over the age of 15 to also hold a job. Her children are between the ages of 2 and 25.
I’ll write more clearly later. Wish me luck.
