toothbrush
I’ve missed all of you. I am now completly out of money and will head home tomorrow. Let’s pray (in all seriousness) that I have enough gas money to make it home.
This trip has had its ups and downs. I’ve been reminded that I have some of the most beautiful loving friends and that it doesn’t matter that I lost two toothbrushs in a battle with cockroaches or that a cat shat on my bed or that a scorpian tried to sting me.
Regular blogging will start Wednesday.

Hola Elenamary, I’d heard about your blog from a friend of a friend (blogeros both)about a month or so ago and finally got around to checking it out today. I found it soothing that you’ve a narrative style that holds a real-time through-line which keeps e: hinged. The cockroach-invasion (and the loss of 2 toothbrushes) made me laugh out loud b/c I went through the EXACT same circumstance when I went down to Ensenada a little while ago and more recently when I went on a little trip back east to revisit my roots as it were but that’s “Ni pa’ca or pa’lla” (as the Jesus Alemany cut goes). To close, I’d like to say: keep on writing it down, hermana. You got some good things here — I too dug on Hesse’s Siddhartha (http://ceep71.blogspot.com/2005/05/om-namah-shivaya-happy-birthday.html). I’d like to post a link to your scribings on my landing page (ceep71.blogspot.com) but would want your permission to do so…so I’ll wait and see. @ any rate, stay up and let the truth lead you where it will. CeeP.

Comment on July 13, 2005 03:09 amElena, most churches have a traveler’s aid fund and they’ll give you gas money if you’re hard up. Sometimes they’ll even give you some food and let you sleep on their floor.
Comment on July 13, 2005 03:39 amYou tell those pigs. I’m glad you stood up for yourself. Not having money seems to be roaming around the blogosphere lately, I hope all goes well on your end. My car is broken too and I have no money to fix it. Keep us posted.
