Did I just hear that? I did not just hear that. I was watching The Chris Matthews Show this morning, when Chris Matthews asked Ed Gordon the lone black man, if George Bush’s commitment to Louisiana could be equated to Reparations? What the heck? I wish I could quote him exactly, but the transcripts aren’t up. Is this reparations for slavery? Or as my friend Joe asks “or for the ‘slow motion fucking’ of successive generations of poverty?” (Which I would of course say can also be attributed to slavery).

wow, that guy really is an idiot. why would it be reparations, isn’t the gov. responsibility to protect / aid its people. is it reparations for the poor white folks too?
Nothing like asking one black man to speak for his entire race. Does Mathews really think Black people in New Orleans equate the same status as slaves? How is that for the current mind set of America?
