Rosa Parks said she wanted to be remembered “as a person who wanted to be free and wanted others to be free.” In a 1984 radio interview she said that sometimes she couldn’t escape the fame and responsibility that was thrust upon her.

I’m pretty surprised that more bloggers aren’t talking about this. Andrew had a pretty long post though.
Really? I have a brief entry for her. But I’ve actually seen a little more than I expected.
Here in Detroit people actually complained because the local news interrupted the football game to report her death. Ignorance is bliss.
