Cristina Tzintzún Day Laborers

I am reading a NY Times article about Day Laborers and laughing at how police were arresting day laborers outside of a home depot and “accidently arrested a Hispanic shopper” when I looked over at the photo accompanying the article.
Guess who is in the NY Times photo? My little (and only) sister Cristina!

Cristina works as an organizer for Day Laboerers in Austin. Pretty cool huh? Now, I gotta go get some hard copies of the NY Times and see if she is in the hard copy of the newspaper. I think the last time Cristina was in the paper she was getting arrested. Aye mi hermanita always up to something. If you want to know more about my sister you can check out her book Colonize This!: Young Women of Color on Today’s Feminism. My mama sure did raise some revolutionaries.
