5 things ‘you’ don’t know about me

April 25, 2007 by elenamary

I have been tagged by one of the leaders of the revolution, Tin of Flor y Canto en Xochitl.

Uno.
i want a job sitting under a mango tree reading books and eating mangos.

Dos. Ando agotada. Mi trabajo me ha dejado súper agotada. I love the word “agotada” because I don’t think the english “exhausted” describes how I really feel. Me siento agotada y cada vez que digo la palabra, agotada, me hace pensar en la canción de Maná, Estoy Agotado.

Tres.
I love my mamí. I worry, I don’t appreciate her enough—because I don’t. A feminist, a revolutionary, an immigrant, an activist in a land and language that she fights to make her own. I wish I was half as strong (and hot) as my mamí.

Cuatro
I compare every boyfriend to the one who squeezed all of the innocence of love out of my heart. I wonder when I will stop comparing.

Cinco
I wish I knew more about Jazz. I’ve checked out some CDs from the library but I feel quite ignorant about jazz.

I was intrigued by your report about being ‘legal’. I really love the new look of your blog and I also would love to be known by the first thing we didn’t know about you. La uno!

You couldn’t have said it better. Maybe one day we can be partners and start own business doing this.

Sigh, I fucking hate that too. I don’t know whether to try to analyze it
to death or jam it all back inside sooo damn far not even I’ll be able to find it. Need to keep just a bit for the next person.
