		<description>The same thing happened to a friend of mine in law school, in 2002.  We were all at Critical Race and LatCrit conference in Portland.  After dinner, our friend, who is Pakistani, went for a walk ~ and wanted to take sunset photos of the river and bridge near the hotel.  You can imagine what happened.  I think the cops questioned him for a while and let him go eventually ~ we were furious, but not surprised.  Sigh ~ some things never change.  Thanks for the link~!</description>
